Introduction:

UNHAS LEADS SCHOLARSHIP is a partial scholarship which targets prospective students
coming from developing countries. UNHAS LEADS Scholarship covers full of development fee
and deduction of international tuition fee. This scholarship can only be availed at Hasanuddin University Indonesia.

Hasanuddin University (Universitas Hasanuddin) is a prominent public university located in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It was established in 1956 and named after the famous 17th-century Sultan Hasanuddin, a hero of the Bugis-Makassar region known for his resistance against Dutch colonial rule.

The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs across various fields including social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and health sciences. It is known for its commitment to academic excellence and research, and it plays a significant role in the educational and socio-economic development of the region.

Scholarship Duration:

Bachelor 7 Semesters

Masters 3 Semesters

PhD 5 Semesters

General Eligibility:

• Have no criminal record.
• Fulfill all UNHAS requirements.
• Have never been declared a Dropout at UNHAS at the same educational level.

Bachelor Degree Eligibility:

• Hold a high school degree (provide scanned degree certificate,academic transcript. Also, provide the copy of English of Indonesian translation by certified translator)
• Provide Motivation Letter that explains why you’re worth LEADSScholarship, your previouseducation/work, your contribution after finish your study, and future plan (written in English)
• Provide the English Proficiency Test Score minimum as follows:
• IBT TOEFL 35 or IELTS 5,0 or ITP TOEFL 500, (except Faculty ofMedicine must be minimum IELTS 6.0 or IBT TOEFL 60 or ITP TOEFL600) or BIPA Certificate minimum score 450
• Provide Curriculum Viate (written in English)
• Provide recent coloured photograph (size 4x cm)
• Provide Health Certificate (psychological and physical healthexamination) from a Government Doctor in the home country and Thorax chest X-ray results
• Provide letter of Recommendation from the Indonesian
• Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General
• Provide proof of Citizenship (Identity Card or Passport)
• Provide Letter of Academic Recommendation from previous institute.

Masters Degree Eligibility:

• Hold bachelor degree (provide scanned degree certificate, academic transcript. Also, provide the
• copy of English of Indonesian translation by certifiedtranslator)
• Provide Motivation Letter that explains why you’reworth LEADS Scholarship, your previous
• education/work, your contribution after finish your study, and future plan (written in English)
• Provide a copy of English or Indonesian languageproficiency certificate. Indonesian Languages
• certificate for Foreigners (min. score 450) or English language certificate IBT TOEFL 35 or IELTS 5,0 or TOEFL ITP 500 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 years)
• Provide Curriculum Vitae (written in English)

PhD Degree Eligibility:

• Hold master degree (provide scanned degree certificate, academic transcript. Also, provide the copy of English of Indonesian translation by certified translator)
• Provide Motivation Letter that explains why you’reworth LEADS Scholarship, your previous education/ work, your contribution after finish your study (written in English)
• A copy of English or Indonesian language proficiencycertificate. Indonesian Languages certificate for
• Foreigners (min. score 450) or English language certificate IBT TOEFL60 or IELTS 6.0 (writing band min.6.0) of TOEFL ITP 600 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 years)
• Provide Curriculum Vitae (written in English)
• Provide recent coloured photograph (size 4×6 cm)
• Provide proof of Citizenship (Identity Card or Passport)

Language Requirements:

• Applicant from English speaking countries is not required to submit certificate of English proficiency test
• Applicant who graduted (in the last 2 years) from school/university in English speaking countries is not required to submit certificate of English proficiency test
• Applicant currently studying in Indonesia is not required to submit BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia) certificate.

Selection Process:

There will be three step process for selection:

a) Academic Potential
b) Psychological Test
c) Interview

Step by Step Process:

• All required documents must be written or translated into
• English (by certified translator)
• Committee verify all completed applications
• Applicants will be notified about the verification result
• Applicants must pay attention to schedule of each test
• Applicants must join online socialization for test regulation
• Selection tests are conducted online
• Selection result is accessible through applicant’s account in regpmb.

The last date to apply for UNHAS LEADS Scholarship is 6th August 2024.
