Higher Education in Brunei Darussalam:

Brunei has invested in higher education, with institutions like the University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). UBD, established in 1985, offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Education in Brunei emphasizes Islamic values, and UNISSA, established in 2007, specializes in Islamic studies. The government places importance on education to develop a skilled workforce and promote intellectual growth in the country.

Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2024:

Every year Ministry of foreign affairs of Brunei Government announces scholarships for international students, The purpose of this scholarship is to attract the outstanding students around the Globe to study in Brunei. This year Brunei Government has announced Scholarships for Bachelor , Master & PhD. The list of universities where you can get admission on scholarship is given below:

1.University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD),

2.University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA),

3.University of Technology Brunei (UTB),

4.Kolej University Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) 

5.Politeknik Brunei

Benefits:

• The applicants will be exempted from registration fee, Tuition fee and examination fee.
• Return Air ticket to & from the native country will be provided to the successful applicant.
• A monthly stipend up to 1200BND ($900) paid to the successful applicant to cover daily life expenses.
• Accommodation will be provided at the residential college of the university.
• Medical insurance will be provided during your studies at Brunei Darussalam.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this Scholarship you have to fulfill the following requirements:

1. For applying in Undergraduate program your age shouldn’t exceed 25years at the time of application submission.
2. For applying in Postgraduate program your age shouldn’t exceed 35years at the time of application submission.
3. If your Native language is not English then you have to provide a language certificate like IELTS or TOEFL etc.
4. The minimum score for IELTS is 6.0 and for TOEFL its 590.
5. This scholarship is strictly for International students only, so any Brunei resident or any international student already studying in Brunei is not eligible.

How to Apply:

You have to fill an online Application form and have to upload the following Documents:

• Certified Copies of all your Academic qualifications
• Certified copies of your Passport and Birth Certificate.
• English Language proficiency certificate.
• Reference and recommendation letters from your referee.
• English Translation of your documents if they are not in English.

After submitting all your documents you will be evaluated through an interview, this interview may be in an Embassy in your country or through a video link. and after successfully clearing the interview you may be asked for a written test. (If applicable).
